CONCRETE SIDEWALK PAVING & CONSTRUCTION
Concrete Sidewalk Paving & Construction
Concrete sidewalks are made of the same Portland cement concrete that comprise concrete parking lots. They are also designed in a similar fashion. The sub grade must be percolated, or tested for its ability to absorb moisture, and then a sub base, usually made of gravel, can be laid. Then a wood form is laid and the cement, mixed by our distributor, is poured into the form.

We tend to follow the National Association of City Transportation Officials' advice for sidewalk dimensions, which measure 5-7' in width in residential zones and 8-12' in urban and commercial areas. Building a safe and functional sidewalk is directly associated with allocating enough width for pedestrians to stay clear of cyclists and other unpredictable collisions.
Most sidewalks for businesses, municipalities, and cities are paved to a depth of 4", but Ohio Paving & Construction can pave to any desired depth. The sidewalk we lay is not reinforced with steel, as it generally Speak with one of our paving estimators for more details.

- The distance of the job site from our crew.
- The state of the land and/or sub-base where the asphalt might be laid.
- The amount of time/effort is necessary for cleaning.
